Born in North Yorkshire, Nicholas Lloyd has had a lifelong interest in natural history and is a keen angler, walker and horse rider.

He was a Trustee of Environ in Leicester for ten years until moving to Cumbria two years ago and becoming a Trustee of Eden Rivers Trust.

He has worked in the pub and brewery industry for some 35 years and is currently Vice Chairman of Everards Brewery Ltd.
